HP Pavilion a6200.it

i have bought an Hp Pavilion a6200.it from Italy. when i bought it, it had Windows Vista on it, i formatted the drive, and installed windows Xp. the problem is that the mainboard is ECS MCP61PM-HM (HP/COMPAQ NEETLE2-GL8E). i have found the drivers for video and sound, but i can't find the drivers for the Network device, so i can't connect to the internet!
can anyone help me with that?

it says that is a Network Integrated 10/100 Base-t networking interface, but i do not know which type it is!

Looks like it might be the Realtek RTL8201N - the drivers for that chip are listed here.

 

i can't see there the drivers you are talking about. seems to be other type of drivers!
can you show me which is the precise one?
i mean i don't see the RTL 8201N in there

 

Could it be for the network device, except the realtek chipset drivers, also an n vidia chipset driver for that mainboard?

Try the nForce 430 (assuming you're running XP 32-bit), which does include the WHQL ethernet driver.

 

i have the windows xp sp3 2008-2009 installed. i do not know if it is 32 bit or 64!

Go to Control Panel > System - the page presented should let you know if it's 32- or 64-bit.

 

can you tell me where could i find the Realtek RTL8201N drivers? it's an onboard lan.
the sound for this mainboard is also realtek, but the video is integrated and it's n vidia.
i simply don't know if the lan drivers are realtek or nvidia!

That's exactly what I'm trying to do.

Again: download the nForce 430 chipset drivers, create a Restore Point, install the drivers, reboot, and see if your symptoms change.

Quick question: are you seeing any flags for network adapters in Device Manager?

 

in the network adapters at device manager, there is no flag posted
it sows there only an 1394 net adapter
but lower it shows "?" Pci and sm controller, one beneath the other
