HP Pavilion N5470 power problem

My HP Pavilion N5470 will not turn on. The light on the AC adapter flashes rapidly and it does not power on with the battery only. I've tried resetting. I've tried several other 19v adapters with the same polarity.

I opened the AC adapter and found that it had a burn spot inside, so I know its dead.

Question: Is there a power supply inside the laptop? If so, where? Could it be damaged?
Any another helpful suggestions would be most happily appreciated.

I'll take a look at it. After checking the HP forums I've already begun preparing myself for a MoBo replacement but there's still hope.
