Hello. I have a card reader question I hope someone can help with. I have a HP Pavilion zv6000 notebook, running Win XP (home) which has a SD*Ms/pro*MMC*SM*XD card reader which I've never used. I recently tried using it but don't know how to access it. I downloaded a driver for it today..which replaced the one already in the machine. When I paod a card into it, it gives off a blue light which goes off then flashes once more but nothing happens on the screen. I went to My Computer and looked for any indication of another storage device but it's not listed. Checking in the device manager the only thing which indicates it's not operating correctly is under PCMCIA, the Intel PCIC compatible PCMCIA controller has a yellow exclaimation mark with a code 10 can't start message. Is this related to these card slots?
Is there some voodoo I have to do to get this card reader to read? Tried an 8GB SDHC and 2 different XD cards...don't know for sure the SDHC card is good but the XD cards are.
