I have an HP Pavillion g6-1c60ca that came with Win 7 Home Premium x64, and was recently upgraded to Win 10 x64. Everything seems to be working alright with the exception of sleep mode. Whenever the machine is put to sleep, when it's woken up it goes back to whichever screen it was on when it was put to sleep, but it's frozen. It will sit there for about 7-10 seconds, then it goes to the Windows error screen stating "Windows has encountered an error and needs to be restarted..." then reboots. I've tried playing around with all the sleep/hibernate settings, but nothing seems to make a difference. Has anybody ever come across this?

Thanks for the links. I actually went through that HP one above right at the beginning of this whole fiasco, but nothing in it worked. I did eventually get the issue resolved though by rolling back to an older BIOS. The current is F.49, but by installing F.46 I got it working. Apparently this is an issue with the HDD controllers. In order to find the older BIOS, I had to manually select Win 7 as the operating system (It automatically detected Win 10 at first...)on the HP site, and then click on 'Previous Versions'.
