    Hi,
Thank for any help. I have a HP Photo-smart 3210 all in one printer. I tried to print a picture today and the colors came out mainly purple with smudges all thru the picture.

Before this happen I had just replaced the magenta cartridge.. After this happen I went to the printers tools, cleaned it, re-aligned it and tried to calibrated it. While calibrating and aligning it the paper was coming out with alot of colors missing. After trying this I was getting a message saying there was a calibrating error but it didn't say what the error was. After this I tried removed all the cartridges and replaced them. Then I tried re-printing to find that on the paper there was ink which appeared to be black ink. Then I moved the printer to find that there was purple ink all over the carpet. I don't know what to do from here. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly welcomed. The printer is about 3 years old now and it did sit for a few weeks before I replaced the low cartridge so I did try cleaning the printer head as well.

I'm running it off windows xp. Desk top Dell xps 410

    Jill
