    Hi
My printer is going nuts--When i print a photo from a folder on my pc the photo comes out all streaked with different colors and bar code looking bars all over the photo but when i scan a photo and print it it comes out perfect.Ive talked to HP and have tried all their directions but nothing works.I have cleaned the nozzles, run all the printer tests etc everything comes out good any suggestions besides throwing it in the trash :cry
    Thanks
    John

    What OS?
When did this start, because maybe some software added created the problem?
Is it networked or attached to the computer? If networked, have you tried attaching it to the computer and seeing if it behaves the same?

what are you using to view your pic, and then print from? i've had better luck using "windows picture and fax viewer". right click a picture, then select properties, and what is it set to open with? i know when i insert new cartridges, it suggests i align them, however i normally don't. anyway, i wouldn't think this would be the problem, as you said it prints fine when you scan photos, and print them. - sos

what all did you all do? can you plz explain what steps you all took.

hmm, it seems like i'm seeing more vista problems lately (or maybe i just opened my eyes). :confused

i'm wondering if it could be a driver problem? i wonder if uninstalling, and reinstalling the drivers would work? you might want to see if someone here has any better ideas? if anything, it shouldn't hurt. - g/l, sos
