I have to scan pictures for my blog. (I'm a mature illustration student- meaning grew up before computers) a new problem is stopping me from scanning with my HP PSC 1610 All-in-one printer. It says "scan.msi" is missing, and I looked at my program file from the start menu, it looks like it has disappeared. I could be wrong there. I have Windows XP. Would appreciate help, especially as my tutor views my blog to teach me. Thanks

    Hi

What Windows version and Service Pack are you using?

Make sure you are at the latest Service Pack so run Windows Update to check for updates.

Then its likely that for your model of AIO printer you need to re-install the drivers, so install the drivers from HERE and you will need to choose your Windows version from the dropdown.

*maybe worth uninstalling your current driver and HP Printer software from Add/Remove first.
