HP Scanjet 4070 Photosmart Scanner Not Working

I recently reformatted my computer (Windows XP Home 32bit), and so I had to reinstall my scanner. I have the original disks and it installed fine, but when I try to scan anything it won't. Here is a screen shot where the problem is. When I click "From Scanner" it asks for a source (aka the scanner), but there is no option. I've tried reinstalling the scanner, but that did not work. I'm hoping someone knows how to fix this. Thanks!

Go to HP Support - HERE - select your product, select your Operating System.
There is 1 patch and 5 updates available for download. Either the patch or the critical update for Internet Explorer should fix the problem.

Naturally unplug and replug all wiring to the device to ensure connection.
