   Hi
   
   I down loaded and updated ze4420 bios software
   
   Now Lap top is dead no screen no fuctions.
   
   I am told that bios chip needs to be repalced.
   
   HP told me I need to buy new computer?
   
   Any one know how to over come this issue?
   
   I have connected alternative monitor but no display.

   Yup, the two options you mentioned: replace the chip or buy another computer.

   since it is a laptop, it might be harder to get to the chip.
