HP ZE4530US power plug problem!!

Ok people, i have a huge problem! My power plug on my HP lappy has gone 99% kaput! I have to wiggle and hold it to get the battery to charge and contiune holding it if i want it to charge. I have sent the computer in to HP once already and they will not fix the same thing twice otherwise i will have to pay for it. which means a new Mobo. is there anything i can do? Its just the 'barrel' type plug. I inspected with a flashligh and what i can see being the problem is the Negative (-) contact is pushed downi have tried with a paper clip bent into a hook to pull it back up, which i temorarily succeeded on, but when i plug the wire back in, it squishes right back down again...any suggestions? PLEASE!!!

 

have you tried looking down in the cord itself to see if there is something that has fallen down inside, causing the pin to be bent over when you plug it in??

 

I should have clarified: theres nothing wrong with the power PLUG, its the power-plug port thing on the computer that its faulty

 

I don't know if it is an option, but there have been some of those jacks on Ebay if you're handy with a soldering iron

 

try a bit of chewing gum mate it'll melt in nicely over time but make sure you chew EXTRA
