HP3505 Printer "Sleeps" to often

One of our employees has a Dell laptop and an HP3505 printer connected to her docking station. She turns her laptop off at night. When she turns it on in the morning, she has to turn the printer off and on again for it to work. She didn't have this problem with other printers. That's the first problem.

She takes her laptop to meetings, etc and when she redocks it, she is unable to print at all. She reloaded the driver, rebooted etc. As a last resort we powered down and disconnected the printer, reconnected and powered up. Voila. We're now back to turning it off and on every morning or if it "sleeps" for more than 15-20 mins.

Is there something flukey about the HP3505?

Any ideas/solutions would be most appreciated.

 

Any cures for my printer's sleep apnea?

You should have said that in the first post.
Just kidding. Go to START, SETTINGS, PRINTERS AND FAXES. Highlight your printer, then right click and choose properties. Go to the ADVANCED tab. Is ALWAYS AVAILABLE checked?
You may not have this option, but it's all I could find.

 

Yeah, we checked that.

I'm thinking it may be the docking station.
