Here we go ... Saw a similiar posting here a year ago but really couldnt tell how they worked it out. I have a HP7310 Network Printer connected to a router that allows me to print to all 4 computers in my home. It's been fine for months, then this error message appeared ...
"The print spooler was unable to connect to your printer This can be caused by your printer being turned off, the cable being unplugged, or being connected to a VPN, which will block your access to your local network."

Your document will print when printer becomes available.

Well, I did some rebooting of the router, restarted the computer, power cycled the printer and eventually three of the 4 printers are back in business but the one upstairs (two flights up) still displays this message. I'm out of ideas on how to get it seeing the printer. The PC reads the IP of the router, has internet connectivity but wont print. We moved nothing, it was working great, then suddenly this stuff ... What does that message mean? Any ideas?

    OK

Hey good news ... I uninstalled the printer and reinstalled it. It found the printer on the network and all is well in printville land... Thanks all ... The information around the forum was helpful.
