HTML links do not work in OE but OK in IE

Two days ago HTML links in Outlet Express (ver 6.00.2900.2180xpsp_sp2.rtm.040803-2158)
suddenly stopped working when I clicked on them (blue underlined URL, etc) but continue to work normally in Internet Explorer (ver 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2);

Dell dimension 2200;1.36Gb, 512,100, Celeron, WinXP with SP1 and SP2 and all updates current.
McAfee Virus Scan7.1 with daily updates; 2 trojan exploit Virus Files (archive.jar-6c115d18--2d29bd..and archive.jar-6c115d18-424287..) in quarantine because McAfee unable to remove.

D-Link DI 524 router; Network Magic home network

I was advised to try: Start/Run (type) "regsvr32Urlmon.dll" which I did but the problem persists.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Try, in IE, under Tools -> Internet Options -> Programs -> Reset Web Settings button. Uncheck "Also reset my homepage" if you wish. Then retry links in OE.
