HTML or PHP ????

Ok, if i have a index.php and index.html which one will open first. Like say my domain was www.blala.com which will it go to the html or the php. I ask this because I have a site and a forums on one server and I cant change the index.php to something else because then i'd have to edit the template.

 

Depends how the server is configured! It totally depends upon how the admin set up the webserver settings... they may have put .php to be top prioirty (first) or last. Likely if they built in PHP after they initially compiled/installed the server , it'll be after .html.

Only way is a test!

But really, you don't want to be doing such a thing. You'd want to put the index.php in a different directory, like /forum or somthing like that. That way you don't have to rely on somone elses config to get the result you want!
