Hi,

Can anyone help me to get rid of the most infuriating virus (or probably more than one)-It’s driving me mad!

My home page has not been changed but when I click on my Desktop icon to connect to the internet the page tries to open and then automatically changes to the following:

about:blank Trusted Start Page|Microsoft Explorer – Microsoft Internet Explorer

The url address is as follows: http://ssearch.biz/?wmid=3302

The forward and back buttons on my browser also seem to have been disabled.

I have run Spysweeper, CWShredder, Ad-aware6, my AVG system and have also run an online scan from TrendMicro.

All have found a variety of different infected files, trojans, downloaders, dialers and droppers. But when I shut down, the next time I start up the damn thing has returned along with various manifestations.

Any suggestions please! (preferably simple ones).
