If I see the word torrent anywhere, I avoid the program.

How do I know if a torrent is safe?
Answer: There are plenty of ways to identify if a file is safe from virus and malware. One method is to read user comments on the file and watch out for any caution regarding downloading such content. Another is to look for content with plenty of seeders and leechers.

I'm not willing to put my computer at risk so I simply avoid all torrents. Problem solved.
