Httpc os

Hey Guys. I am looking for something that i will be able to run on a comoputer to dual function. I have a nice gaming computer but do not want to build an HTTPC. That would be dumb as the gaming computer is being connected to a TV anyways. I do not mean to go on the offensive with that last statement.

What i need:

Some sort of Flashy Software similar to Windows Media Center but with the ability to play and use m4v apple encrypted movies. I have a small collection of movies that has been growing. Most of the movies i Buy are from the Itunes Store. I cannot remove the DRM functionality from them. I cannot Burn them to DVD. All said is already known.

Is there something out there other than purchasing an apple tv for 100 smackeroonies :-D that will do that for me? I also need to be able to use my music library on it, though thats not AS important.

Also, I have 4 devices i would like to control with a remote. 3 of them i can control, one of them i have no clue how to control. I would like to control my computer with it. But not just software functions, i would like to be able to turn it on/off. I have a feeling i most likely won't be able to turn it on with a remote. I can use my iphone for that. Wake up on LAN.
