Hi there, I haven't been here in awhile as I have been trouble free since earlier this year, thanx to this site :) As usual, I take things for granted, and I apologize for that, but there isn't much I can do to help here yet, So I am still dependent on help, and I could use some now. I use Netscape instead of IE now and keep getting this error window popping up all the time, that says "Domain Name Could Not Be found" mostly when I try to open a new page. It comes up twice each time and I can't move until I close it. This happens regularly, but not always, and is super frustrating. I glanced through the latest threads and did a general search for the phrase in the box, but got lost, and am hoping to get quicker results with a new thread. That said, I'll post and if anyone can help, please do, thanx again MG and when I can help, I will too.

Does the same happen when you use IE?

Which OS you using, in case anyone needs to direct you to a specific folder or location?

Have you cleared your Temp Internet folder out?

Do you actually get to a page with NS or just keep getting that message?

What version NS do you have and is it the latest, I have noticed that some versions of NS are buggy to say the least!

Do you use modified HOSTS file?

What Security apps do you have installed ( this question may give clue to HOSTS )?

Sorry for all questions, just I will be honest I dont know diddly about NS and how it works, only used it once in my last job and binned it.

No problem, sorry for the lack of info.
IE works fine, just don't trust it after hyjack.
Win XP Pro SP2, updated auto.
Clear temp on browser exit, + CCleaner and Clean It
My homepage comes up, but I can't move until I close the windows
I have 8.0.4, based on Firefox
not sure on the HOSTS file, did some playin before, but not modified to my recollection
I use Sygate PF, Avast AV, MS Anti Spyware running and Adaware SE, Spybot S-D and Webroot Spysweeper, and others as needed.
Hope this helps, Thanx for the reply, Ray.

    Are you on a PROXY?

Not that I know of, meaning I haven't set it up, but I don't have much knowledge of this so unless another program has set one up, no proxies.
