Huge problem with amilo xa1526 (Sound driver)

Hello, I have tried for days to install the realtek hd audio driver on a xa 1526, and I have tried all kind of trouble shoot guides, and different drives but with no luck. I de-activate the UAA bus driver for HD under "System" in Device manager, and uninstall it, and uninstall and install the realtek driver but it still is no sound. In Device Manager, under "sound, video and game controllers" it says "Realtek high defenition audio", but on the logo it is a exclamation mark, and when I open it, it says "Can not load the driver, it may be damaged or do not exist" If I try to update the driver, it wont do it because "It wont update because the software is not better then what allready exist" It is all badly translated from norwegian, so the errors is probably not exactly right.

Pleas help me...!!!

 

what is the model of your sound card, or better yet go to realtek's home page find your driver and download it to your desktop. then go to device manager uninstall the realtek driver you have, reboot the computer and when it comes up to fiound new hardware, load the drivers you just saved on your desktop.

 

I am assuming you have Windows XP SP2. First, uninstall the sound driver from Add/Remove Programs and restart the PC when it's done. Cancel the hardware wizard when the PC restarts. Download and install KB888111, it's the UAA HD audio update. You can download it from this direct link. After installing it, install the 'generic' RealTek hidef audio driver. You can download it from this link. This driver is for Windows XP. You didn't mention which Windows you have so I assumed XP service pack 2. After the driver install finishes, restart the PC.
