I would like to find out how to back up my browser. I.E. bookmarks this week before I attempt to upgrade this old dinosaur from Home to Pro (XP) next week. What I am looking for is manually saving this to a cd.
    thanx:confused

I am using ie 7.0.5730.13 on AMD Athalon XP 1700+ 1.47GHz, 736MB ram. What thread does this belong on?

    Hi

Easy way I use is to just copy the favorites folder to CD or USB pen, to find the Favorites folder just goto C:\Documents and Settings\[USERNAME]\Favorites you can right click and Send to USB Pen or drag and drop this folder into your Burning Softwares burn window.

Or as an alternative you can use Internet Explorer > File > Import and Export > Export Favorites

And, you will be changing Favorites regularly so you may want to back up weekly/monthly and (amongst other ways) Scheduler can do this with an XCOPY batch file. Also good for email folders which change by the hour.
