I can't get rid of Huntbar, and spybot won't run on restart.

    Help please.

TrafficSyndicate offer two uninstaller files for HuntBar/TS, which have been reported not to work properly.
HuntBar/Side may put an entry called 'MSIETS' in the Control Panel's Add/Remove Programs option, which should remove this variant.
HuntBar/MSLink and HuntBar/BTLink have two entries in the Control Panel's Add/Remove Programs option, called 'Internet 404' and 'Tools for Internet Explorer'. Both entries (which also demand an internet connection to work) must be removed to get rid of these variants, but it will leave the files intact and still won't remove the MSIn or BTIn installer, which can reinstall the software automatically in the future.
HuntBar/SToolbar puts an entry called 'Search Toolbar' in Add/Remove Programs, which should work (though it requires an internet connection).

After removing the software (see below) you may want to delete the shortcuts it adds to the desktop, start menu and favourites menu, and set your search and home pages back to normal (see Tools->Internet Options->Programs->Reset Web Settings).

Run Ad-Aware or Spybot after to make sure all registry entries are gone.

I can't seem to find any of these in the Add/Remove programs list.
    Am I doing something wrong?

Well, I've tried everything suggested and then some but can't get rid of Huntbar.

I can find it using regedit.
    Hkey_Local_Machine
    Software
    Btiein

But I can't delete it, even in safe mode.

In safe mode, I've run Spy bot, Adware, Reg vac, Hijack this.

Nothing seems to work, any ideas?

This is a royal pain in the ass!

    Found an answer!

I know this is a very old thread, but I recently had the same problem and finally found the answer!

**This involves editing the registry, very dangerous so you better know what you are doing!**

I believe adaware/and or/Spybot had actually removed the spyware files, but one stubborn registry entry remained(which did not cause any real problems, but scans always showed it as being active even though it wasn't)
    Anyway,
Download registrar lite from www.resplendence.com/reglite (free version)

once installed, open and search for or maneuver "btiein"
It will probably show "access denied" in the window description, no matter!
right click on it and choose delete.
    You are done!

    What a relief!
