Hurricane And Traffic Cams

Here's a web page of Bay County Florida's live traffic cam system. Usually used for flow control. It's not used for tickets or fines.
Well, today we have a visitor coming in, Hurricane Michael. Yesterday the traffic leaving the area was monitored to see how well the evacuation order was being followed, judging by the traffic on the roads leaving the county.
Today I checked some of the cameras down in town and also close to water. Some already show the effects even though we have a few hours till arrival. There should be some amazing feeds before this is over.
One interesting camera is on a road labeled 77A. It is on a dam that separates a fresh water lake (deerpoint) and a saltwater bay (st. andrew's bay). Witha 6-11 ft storm surge expected, this location is a concern as the freshwater side is a drinking water source.

I'm about 6 miles past the last camera on the right side of the screen up a hwy labeled 231. Not in the evacuation zone, and I have my own well. But we will have plenty wind, rain and probable power outage for a while. These cameras will let me keep track of the areas around some of my jobs and prepare me for the shock of what I'll see when we're allowed to go back into town again.

Mexico City Beach and Panama City Beach Florida look like they are almost totally destroyed on the news reports. It's going to take a long time to recover and rebuild.
