Hyperlink to default CD Drive letter

Hi there. I have written an online website program with a few hyperlinks in them where they are pointing to the videos where everything works and on YouTube and they all play ok. Now I have created an offline version of the same website, and I have downloaded the YouTube files as MP4 which I now want to do the following. I want to write a offline version of the website for those who do not have internet and thus want to write a DVD with the offline website as well as the videos thereon however my challenge is the following. If my hyperlink in the website program points to "open=d:\videos\video.mp4", it plays the video ok on condition that the DVD drive is in fact the "D" drive. Now if I put the same DVD in another computer where the hard drive on that machine is split in two namely the "C" and "D" drive, and the DVD Drive now is the "E" drive, my program will not work. What Hyperlink code can I use to overcome this?

 

I'm somewhat confused. Normally you would use URLs in websites. What I see is an "absolute path" under Windows. Thus, you could probably use "relative pathes". Try "\videos\video.mp4".

 

If the files for your offline website is on a disk, you don't need to specify the drive because all the files are in a local folder. Look at the architecture of a website and you'll see what I mean. At least this is what I'm led to believe. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
