hyperlinks in email cause issues

I have a computer that whenever I click on a hyperlink within outlook express. The program appears to lock up but eventually goes to the hyperlink if I let the computer sit for what feels like a half an hour.

The hyperlinks in question are spam report links provided by the ISP by thier built-in spam blocker, say if I want to whilelist or block a certain addresse.

I've tried disabling anti-virus programs and firewalls and the problems still are active.

When trying Thunderbird, the issues appear to inprove, however are still present.

It's a XP home machine on SP3 and all recent updates. Using a broadband connection.

Hi

If you cut n paste the URL into a browser address box, does the same issue happen? I'm just thinking you may have a URL HTTP issue with the file type, especially if the same happens in the browser by the CnP of the link.

Does it also happen in Safe Mode with Networking?

If I cut and paste the URL into internet explorer or use the hyperlink in safe mode, it works just fine.

the KB article from microsoft didn't help unfortunetly. I'll try the next article

Hello,
Go to internet options in IE > Advanced -> Reset Internet Explorer Settings
