    Hi Folks
About 3 days ago I found I was not able to click onto a Hyperlink in either Outlook Express or IE6 to go to the that link. I can copy the link to the clipbard and jump to it that way but I'm damned if it will work directly anymore. System is squeaky clean and running Norton AVG etc etc and I always clean out any naties with spybot and ad-aware after getting off the net. Anybody out there in cyberland got any bright ideas please?

    Hyperlinks No Go

Phew that was fast. Thank you AbbeySue. I will do that asap and hope that it works. But I sure would like to know why the problem reared it's ugly head in the first place.

    Hyperlinks

Thank you both. I tried to fix using repair OE and that didn't work. I also cannot jump to the link given by Kodo because it wont go to it. All i get is the OE6 screen firing up with no address to go to and when I reclick I get a ding. Guess it will be an uninstall and reinstall. Or I might give Opera a shot. Think the problem probably lies either in one of the options in OE or a registry gremlin somewhere.
    Cheers

    Hyperlinks (Again)

Back again a little later. Problem fixed. Everything was OK in the areas that Kodo suggested but by finally getting on to the M$ link provided by Kodo and carrying out the quite simple instruction we are back to normal again.
Thanks again for your prompt help

    Robert / Kodo / whoever!

    What was the solution please?

I cannot open the hyperlinks from my OE.

I have tried start/run/regsvr32 urlmon.dll as well as several other similar regsvr32 runs.

    nothing happens

    :(

Oh Wow - that was a long time ago and I have moved on since to XP Pro and no longer use IE6. HoweverI did look my records of the time and apparently the problem re-occured and I was then unable to either repair or reinstall IE. So what I finally did was to reinstall IE6 over the top of the existing nonfunctioning mess. And it worked until it gave me problems again so i went and bought XP Pro. No probs from there on but since then I have moved on to Opera7 and latterly Firefox.
So I guess the install over the top is the only thing I can suggest but make sure you get the latest version which is pretty freely available from computer mags or failing that D/L from M$.
    Hope this helps
    Cheers
    Robert
