I am currently running windows XP

    I want to do a hard format on my pc, but I am running windows XP, and the only disc that I have is a Windows 2000 disc...How do I do a format with this... Basically everytime that I have tried to boot the disc by restarting my computer, it tells me that there is an error trying to format....so how do I do this right...
