Here is a media center PC...

I'm not sure if you are aware of how expensive it is going to to add a terabyte of storage...let alone TWO terabyte!! But anyway...here is a terabyte storage system that would plug into you new computer via the USB port...

Or...I don't know what kind of budget you are running on here, but I'm guessing that it is not apparently too tight!! But anyway...just to show you this custom build option, with going all out on everything!! The only thing is you will have to buy more external storage to meet you terabyte needs!! So this is an all out media center PC, which will allow you to record/watch live TV on any display, just as if it were a Tivo, only the good thing about this is you can retrieve the actual media center files for burning to disc, or even use the handy dandy built in burning utility, that comes in the media center!! Take a peek if you want...

for the storage u could grab 3 of these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822148134

for the processor id go with the new core 2 duo once everything kinda cools down with the new processors coming out

video cards....2 7900GTXs are the best right now aside from the 7950 but quad sli is still relatively buggy.

well what u described down there was probably going to cost you a couple grand lol. time to tone down your expectations lol

anyways, for a video card u could go with a 7600gt which is a great card, or even better a 7900gt. the new core 2 processors are pretty cheap, check them out: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/partners/intel/index.asp?CMP=ILC-INDC and the performance is great too. seagate makes great hard drives and so does western digital (my personal preference)

crucial makes the fastest ddr2 i believe right now so check that out as well:
