Hello everyone I am new here and look forward to getting to know everyone. For those having a birthday.. I wish you a wonderful one. :wave:grouphug I joined because I am at my wits end trying to figure out what to do about having my System Volume Information being infected with bots and expanding. I have AVG but I put it into the Quarantine Folder. It keeps returning. I feel really dumb! Made me wonder how I ever graduated college! What can I do? What happens if I delete the System Volume Control infected files. Thank you anyone that take the time to reply. :wave

If it is just in the system volume files ---- then you could turn off system restore on all drives (control panel - system - system restore tab: check box, click apply, uncheck box, click apply, click settings, and slide the sliders all the way to minimum). That will flush out all the bad files permanently. That is, of course, if your computer is problem/nasty free and the nasties are only in the volume files.
