I am all alone with no coffee and no way to get any

theres a starbucks about an hour and a half away

but I have no means to leave my location

We have 3 Starbucks within easy walking distance from our front door. Want to take a little longer walk, and there are a couple more.

Eric mostly buys his coffee at Costco. A 2lb bag for $6.00 and usually the bag is still warm from being just roasted.

 

People out of coffee, or similar, used to simply go borrow a bit from a neighbor (unless you lived in the middle of nowhere), but I guess those days are gone forever in most parts of the country.

 

Our neighbour would probably give you a half finished bottle of wine instead of coffee... :S

When we moved in here we asked our opposite neighbour for a few teabags and she looked at me strangley and said "no, we're out of teabags." about 10 minutes later I saw them having a cup of tea in their conservatory. *sigh*

 

That's what I was going to suggest. People who drink coffee understand these things and would gladly share enough for you to get through until you could get your own stash. And, they would know they could count on you to return the favor someday. What goes around comes around, and you'd have an opportunity to meet the neighbors, if ya haven't already.

No. I really don't miss all that sweet stuff. The other day I put sugar in my coffee instead of the usual Splenda. Didn't like the tast.

i can live without sweets. and i can live without coffee, but i do like the taste and i will drink it at regular intervals, but i am certainly not addicted to it.

what's weird, though. coffee barely gives me any buzz at all if i even feel anything. it keeps me awake as much as any sweet juice.

Funny you should mention that. Our neighbor down the hall just came by earlier today with a cup of decaf beans to trade for some caffinated beans. I think Eric gave him some regular and told him to keep the decaf. There have been plenty of times that it's been us goin' a-beggin' for some bean.

Beside which, decaf is NOT a substitute for real coffee.

My sister keeps a pretty much caffeine-free house out in Calif. Whenever I visit, I bring some instant tea or coffee with to at least get my fix through the day.

My wife wants to open up her own buisness and I was thinking an Internet cafe' would be good.
there have been a few book stores in town that haven't made it( its a small town,and apparntly no one reads)
I've never been in an internet cafe', so I really don't know what there like.But I like the idea
