I cannot connect to other computer.

I can't connect to my other computer . It ask for password if i want to connect.
I have windows 7 and i want to connect to vista. and i open computer then network and take the name . And then it ask for my password to connect to the other computer S: But i dont even have login password :!!!! WHAT PASSWORD IT WANTS???? LOGIN???ROUTER???HOMEGROUP(it dont work)???


And i write to name my computer name like me-PC


What should i do ???

This was a little hard to follow so let me see if I understand

You have a Windows 7 computer. You have a windows Vista computer. You want to access the C:\ on the Vista computer from the 7 computer. It is asking you for a user and password but nothing is working.

A few questions.
Have you ever been able to access the Vista computer from another computer?
Do you have more than one user on the Vista computer?
Do you have a password for the user on the Vista computer?

The user / password that is being asked for is a user on the Vista computer.

 

1. yes a few weeks back i was able to fully accsess all files on the vista comp.
2. no, only one user on my laptop and only one user on the vista comp.
3. yes, i do have the password for the vista computer. and that is the pass/user i am putting in, and it will not work.
