It says, error 0xc000014c. Files are corrupt. I can't repair it with my Win7 DVD. I don't understand. I tried everything. Could it possibly my motherboard that's malfunctioning? I don't get it. I just wanna play warcraft iii. I haven't played for weeks now. Even our technician can't repair it. He said I must buy a new main board.

A 0x14c error code is often brought on by Windows system malfunction. Missing system data files are usually a substantial danger to the performance of your personal computer.

There can be several situations that can trigger a system file error. An incomplete installation, a partial file erasure, incorrect deletion of programs or components. It could also be brought about if your computer system has caught a a virus or adware or spyware invasion or by an incorrect shut down of the pc.

Many of the preceeding actions could very well end up in the deletion or data corruption of Windows system files. This corrupted system file will result in missing and erroneously connected documents and files necessary for the proper operation of the program.

Start the computer and then login to F8/Safe mode as the admin.

Then click the Start button then select Programs, Accessories, System Tools, after which select Restore.

In the new screen, select “Restore my computer to a prior date” then click Next.

Choose the most up to date system restore date in the “click a restoration point” listing, and then click on Next.

Click the Next button on the verification screen.

Restart your laptop or computer once the rescue is completed.

Then try to log into the Main windows option.

I did it just now. But it still restarts. I tried System Repair option with win7 DVD last night and so is Cmd Prompt repair. Still it doesn't restore the corrupted file.

Btw, I run in safe mode again. It says, system restore did not complete successfully.
