I can't type in IE

I did a series of Windows updates last night. After rebooting and going into Internet Explorer I can't click on anything or type. I can move around with the tab key and I can click/type on the address bar but I can't log into game sites, can't answer mail, can't even post in forums like this one (I am on a work PC doing this) What could have happened? I'm not even sure what updates I installed, I just went to the windows update site and let them examine my system to see what updates were needed but there was an error message at the end, something about not being able to update a VM. Boy am I hosed!!!

 

Don't know if THIS will help, but worth a read.

If that fails, do you have System Restore you can rely on, or removing the update if it's listed in Add/Remove in Control Panel?

Silly question, but if the update was SP2, make sure you don't have the XP (If that is your operating system?) built-in firewall blocking access?
