So I am having a bit of a problem. It all started when I did a standard system recovery on my compaq computer which runs windows xp. When the recovery process was done I started deleting the programs I did not want, and one of those was the Norton Antivirus 2002 edition. However when I went to add/remove the program I get a message telling me I am missing the file

    c:\hp\tmp\nav2002\NAV\

and to please enter and alt path I can't find it. I have tried several different approaches to this problem, which includes going to symantic.com down loading the removle tool nothing works I still get the same problem. I thought that I would be able to possible get an upgrade of the same antivirus program and that doesn't work. I need to get a more up to date antivirus on my computer, but I can't do anything until I uninstall this program (anyways I hate norton) so I am in need of some good advice, I hope someone can help me.

    Thanks Atia
