I did a STUPID thing

Ok I was playing my Delta Force 2 game. I thought. I know. Ill update my vid driver. Im have XP. I went into the help section found drivers and I clicked on reinstall my video driver. It sent me to a page and I downloaded it. I ran it. it asked be to reboot. so I did. Now I when I start it says I must reboot. I get Intel Extreme Graphics on my tray now. .never used to be there. and When I try to run Delta Force 2 I get a black screen and if I control alt delte and get to task manager, It shows that the Bink Video is not responding. What the hell did i do? any clue? I cant restore either!!! And stuff seems to be running really slow now. Not web pages etc. How do I find out what vid card I have and update the driver etc.

you can't get back into device manager? You can download EVEREST, avalible here at majorgeeks to find out what vid card you have- or if it is stock- you can look it up on google.

 

Did you try and "rollback" on the Video Drivers?

 

Yeah I can get into device manager allright .. But here is the thing.. everytime i reboot i get the message that new hardware was installed but to complete it i must reboot. Endless circle. And now I have in my tray the Intel(R)Extreme Graphics icon .. it was never there before.. I have had this computer for 4 years . I dont know what I did but it screwed up my game play.. I can hear the game running but I get no video. Rollback wont work. It says something like its already in process of being removed and cant finish. ????

 

Well if you use EVEREST from above we can figure out what motherboard and Video Card you have and may be able so suggest the best driver.

ALSO........ I can go to control panel then to ad remove programs and try to remove the intel extreme graphics but when i restart.. there it is again and windows is telling me software is found for my new hardware and to please reboot.. round and round!
