I don't get the CA problem? Help!

okay so i read the articles and CA has a problem with some software and it can open a door to others. Is this concerning it's older antivirus and firewalls. I did use them about a year or maybe a year and a half ago. I read that there could still be a door open even after uninstalling the software on previous versions. If I need to worry, how can I fix it without installing their stuff again.

 

Well, assuming CA= Computer Associates, their home antivirus was patched two months ago in an update, and provided you were eligible, can be downloaded from their site.
