I dont know where to get my IBM thinkpad vga drivers :(

    hiya, Ive been trying to find the VGA driver for the IBM thinkpad, can anyone help?? Much appreciated

    Hi

    What IBM model Thinkpad do you have?

    See if model code is on bottom sticker of the laptop and let us know as we'd be more :confused than you at this point as to what driver is needed.

    If you have trouble finding the model code then run the below as written

    Hiya, Its an IBM ThinkPad 2659, any help is much appreciated, Ive looked everywhere online but cant find them.:cry

    I guess if you google the IBM model, that is going to give you a redirect to LENOVO webpage and then look for that. I think, they have some automatic scanner for your drivers.:-o

    Hi

    Your Thinkpad is coded as the R32 (2659) and the drivers are HERE just scroll down until you see video and choose your model as in R32 and the Windows version you have.

    Do also make sure in Device Manager that you have installed the Chipset drivers, so if you see any yellow ! mark by SMBus for example then you likely dont have the chipset driver installed, so install the Intel Chipset Utility before the Video driver.

    Hey Chapincito, thanx, I took ur advice but I couldnt use the scanner on the site u mentioned as Ive not been able to put sp3 back onto the laptop, but thank you very much.

    Hey you are welcome, sadly at times PC makers use a variable set of code numbers/names for PCs that can send you up the wrong path, IBM/Lenovo are such a company.

    But glad you have this sorted now.
