I recently built a barebones computer
    core 2 quad
    p5N72-T modd (do not recommend)
    and two GTX 260's
and a a reliable Antec truepower 750 Watt PS (this was known to work in sli from Nvidias web site)
    Windows Vista Home premium 64Bit

I ran a half life 2 benchmark and with the two gtx's i got around 52 FPS but with a single GTX 260 I hot 48 fps and when i play Crysis I had about 30 FPS with the two GTX's and with one GTX so i looked for my Nvidia control panel to see if I could enable it.I went Start>Control panel>Additional Options and NOTHING no Nvidia control panel. this is where it was on my older Windows Vista Home premium 32Bit computer. Is this strange? is there somewhere to DL the control panel or would i be able to run the sli from the bios?

[also](I had i guy fix my computer because it was freezing and he ran some performance tests. he said my comp scored 9000 something with one GTX 260 and 11000 something with both of them.)

connect the SLI bridge between the cards, go to the nvidia control panel, click the Enable SLI button, click apply then ok and your ready to go ;)

If you don't have the NVidia control panel, there's a chance that the driver is not installed correctly. Go to the Vista Control Panel > Programs & Features and uninstall the current driver (if it's listed). Then install this driver, it's the newest Vista x64 driver from NVidia and was just released in late July 2009. So, this driver and checking the SLI bridge as mentioned above should do it. Also, I downloaded your motherboard manual and looked through it. Many SLI motherboards have an onboard "switch" that tells the system to run in single card mode or SLI mode, apparently your motherboard doesn't have this "switch" (which looks a lot like a laptop memory module). I did find some interesting things in the manual that you might want to check out. I read this: "In SLI mode, use the PCIe 2.0 slots (blue slots) for PCI Express x16 graphics cards to get better performance". You should also take a look at page 4-26, items 4.4.5 and 4.4.6, and especially chapter 6 which details SLI configurations with your motherboard.
I hope this helps! Good luck!
