I.E. running very slow, bad as dial-up

    I am running Win ME, 128 meg. K7AMD Processor. I.E. version 6.0.
    I am on DSL and am finding that my I.E. is slowing down quite considerably, about as slow as dial-up. Can anyone give me any advice as to how to troubleshoot this issue and resolve. All my updates are current and my Netscape (which I use as a backup) is working fine. All virus and Adware checks appear clean. What gives with I.E.???? :rolleyes:

    For every website or occasionally?
    Have you tried another browser like Mozilla Firefox? IE is simply not the best browser out there anymore, if you like Netscape stick with it.
    There is the possibility of a hijack or virus that is not picked up.

    One thought -- your machine is under powered and under rammed (is that a word? ;)) Anyhow -- clean your temp files and reduce the amount of caching of temp files and history that IE will do, that could help.
