    This is about CAT cables.

What is the difference really Between Cat 5,Cat5e,and Cat 6.

I see so many postings about the three and it get's confusing.

Is there a Difference between transfer rates.I have Cat 5e rate now.I use to have Cat 5 regular and it did seem a bit slower then Cat 5e would it be better if i get my self Cat 6 be cause of my Speed witch is 10mb download and 5 mb upload.

Would Cat 6 cable help me max out my transfer rate Between the modem and my desktop. And all so does the length of the cable matter as well.Is it better to have a cable shorter then 10f.

I never really understood these all i know is they worked lol:-D

At ten megs your cables aren't gonna be a big factor, cat 6 is recommend for gigbit network speeds and rates.
