I received a laptop from some one at work.Friend could not fined the Power cord and he took out the hard drives years ago. There are two slots for hard drive's.It ran windows Vista the tag is still on the bottom.

I want to make sure i got all the correct parts for this laptop.I want to make it just a entertainment laptop.

It will power on but i think the battery will need to be changed out as well since it's been sitting in his basement for a couple of years.

    It's a

    HP Pavilion dv9000 entertainment pc

Looking for one or two hard drives that will fit in this.Looking for a power cord and a battery. It will turn on with my HP cord but i think battery is dead.

If you need the Serial number let me know.

Ok so i was able to test it and power it on with my other HP connector.I took apart the back side where the hard drives are and it seems to be missing the Interposer Adapter on both drive bays.I would really like to get two of them and a power cord for now.I have been looking up the Interposer Adapter's but i am not sure which one to get.I would like to get the Sata version so i don't have to deal with the slow HDD.I was looking up parts on amazon but i am not sure which one's i need to get.

It will install windows i have tested it with windows xp and windows 7 and windows 10 all three have detected them.

It does not have the screws for the Interposer Adapter as well those have been removed but never put back.Willing to spend no more then 70 dollars for this.I was all so able to get the battery to charge.Even though it spent a good few years not working powers on and every thing with the battery. Was able to test most of the ports on it .Some i can not until i can get these two parts.

The Pavilion dv9000 series is from 2007-2008.

Truthfully I wouldn't waste money on a laptop that old. It came with 2GB of DDR2 RAM. I'm not sure what the maximum amount is.
It came with a 100GB 5400rpm spinning hard drive. Because it is so old, it is hard to find exact specs for it.

It might be cheaper to either sell it on eBay or buy another unit and make 1 working unit out of the two.

I found a service manual here
    Code:
    http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01035566.pdf
It has 2 memory slots that are customer upgradeable. Supports up to 2048 MB of system memory so it looks like 2GB is the max memory that will work. 2GB was fine for XP and Vista; it isn't very good to more modern versions of Windows.

It works fine just need parts It's just missing 4 things like the HD,Interposer Adapter,Power cord.I tested this on windows to go.I all so booted it up with UBCD.I just want to make it as a movie storage.Nothing web base really. And i even got the battery to charge.
