Please follow all the steps in this Sticky thread READ ME FIRST BEFORE ASKING FOR SUPPORT: Basic Spyware, Trojan And Virus Removal

If you already have any of the programs linked in the tutorial please double check your version to make sure you have the latest one and that you have any/all updates for the programs.

NOTE: In order to resolve the issues you are having it is very important that you at least try to perform all the steps as outlined. If you have any difficulty please post back letting us know what steps you have completed, what you found while doing the scans if anything and details about any problems you have encountered in completing the steps. The more details you can provide the better.

What do yo mean you have a spyware guard? Did you mean you installed the program called SpywareGuard?

I believe SpyFerret may be on a list of rogue/suspect spyware removers (I cannot check right now since I do not have access from where I'm located presently.) But if SpyFerret only told you about some items and did not fix them, it is not much use anyway is it?

You might want to give webroot spy sweeper a try. When I first used it a few years ago I was also using norton antivi and spy sweeper found and removed almost 90 bugs that norton did not keep out.

That's because Norton is a virus protection application not a spyware protection application. Not that there is anything wrong with SpySweeper but I could name several thousand virus and trojan issues it will not detect and remove too. Each tool as its defined use.

Also note to get updates for SpySweeper (which is a must if you want to stay current) you have to buy it. Nothing wrong with that either. But since you can get Ad-Aware SE, SpyBot S&D, SpywareBlaster and SpywareGuard for free and they work very well, they are good alternatives. And each of them will find things that SpySweeper does not (likewise, SpySweeper can find things they do not). So you see, none of them are a perfect answer. They each require some back up.
