I had the roaches problem. It is all cleaned up now. Submitted my log files in the malware thread section. Was told it all looked good. My only problem since is that I have no sound. Please help!!!

    Operating system, sound card?

Did you check the Device Manager?
    1. Click Start, click Control Panel, double-click System.
    2. Click the Hardware tab.
    3. Expand Sound, video, and game controllers.
Do you see any exclamation marks or red x's?

First, check that Windows Audio Service is started.
    Go to Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Services
Scroll down the list of services until you find the Windows Audio service.
Right click on it and choose Properties.
Make sure it is set to Automatic and Start is checked.

If your sound is still missing, install your Motherboard chipset driver, reboot, and reinstall your audio driver.

I'm not sure which is the chipset driver. Here are my options on the cd:

    IDE
    VGA
Device - has LanPHY or Sound listed as a subcatagory.

None of those are the actual chipset driver.
If you still are having problems, post a make and model # if your PC is manufactured (Dell, Gateway, HP, etc.) or your motherboard ID, if it is a build. Or even better:
Use Everest to get a report of your system’s hardware, OS, and drivers. Upload the report as an attachment
    Everest: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4181
When Everest is done scanning, click "Report" at the top of the Everest window, click next to get to "Report Profile", select "Hardware related pages", click next, select "Plain Text", click "Finish". Then when it is done processing, click "Save To File". Save it where you want to. (I would use Desktop.)
Click "Go Advanced" in the MG reply box, scroll down a little way until you see "Manage Attachments", click it, browse to your file, click "Upload", and close the window. Then submit the post. You may have to also type something in the reply box, like, "Here's my report.", so that it will submit

Low tech but been known to work now and then, unplug any audio device from your computer, reboot, plug speakers back in.

Ok, I downloaded both sets of files. Unfortunately, I don't know where to go next. There are a ton of files in each download. Can you give me some more specific instructions? Thanks a bunch.

Make sure to extract the folders to a spot, like your Desktop so that you can work with them, if they are still in the .zip format.
Look for the setup.exe file and double click it. The installer should start running. Just follow the prompts.
