I have a emachine from a client tha does not have the oem sticker/key

windows xp pro

He bought this computer and he wants me to clean it up now what i usually
is do a fresh installed but in this case i cant do tha since the sticker is missing and hes on small budget and dont want to buy acopy of windows xp pro key
so what im doing right know is unistalling all the programs from the computer which are alot
after i do tha im going to scan it it with malwarebytes than im going run sfc /scannow
what else would you all recomend me to do .

How can i restore the registry to its defults like when we do a fresh install?

 

WIth Belarc Advisor,you can see Windows XP key,and write it on a peace of paper,so when you want to install fresh copy of Win XP enter the key provided by Belarc Advisor.Hope this will help you.

To restore the registry to the original settings, you either have to reinstall Windows or copy the hive files from the c:\windows\repair folder to the c:\windows\system32\config folder.
