I got 2 250GB hard drives from a relative, and they dont have any stickers, model numbers, or writing on them at all. how do i find the software for them? if you can help, that would be awesome, thanks!

dont really need software for hard drives the OS and Chipset drivers ( unless SATA and those need separate drivers from mobo maker ) will pick up the device drivers for them and those you should have installed already, unless re-installing/building from scratch?

one quick way to see if you can trace a name of the hard drive which will then allow you to find some info/instructions on jumper settings etc is to plug one of them in and quickly as the PC boots enter the bios.... under CMOS standard features it will generally show the make of HD attached.

What I do in that kind of situation, I use an external case and plug it in through USB in my computer and in that way I explore the contents of the drive.
