i have a problem with my new computer

    i have a problem with my new computer. its a toshiba a505. for some reason my computer cant find the drivers for my video card. im trying to find the drivers to fix the problem but i need to know what chipset and motherboard i have. can anyone help me?????

    Noticed in your other post that a "new" copy of XP fixed your sound problem, but that you didn't post that info in this thread. :)

    i have tried everest but didnt get any help from that. does anyone know a better source to find out what kind of mother board and chipset i have ???

    oh that was on another computer i had. i was just trying to help the other guy out cause that happened to me also

    My make and model are stamped on my motherboard, yours might be also Also, if you run Belarc Advisor, it should idenitfy your motherboard. You can then go to your motherboards website and download whatever drivers you will need.

    Hi

    Chipset is either Intel or and depending on what model spec you got its either onboard Intel Media GFX or ATi

    Drivers will be here http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/home.jsp# just need to enter the full laptop model code as A505 covers multiple models and specs as some are AMD Turion x2 cpus and some Intel Core2Duo cpus.

    Full model code should be on sticker on the bottom or on the box it came in.
