i have an acer monitor and an old fx 5200 graph card for my dell. the monitor says it should display 1920 by 1080.. i cant get that but when i change settings in treating my monitor like an hdtv - my computer is really clear - is it displaying it in 1080 or 720p.. it seems much clearer .. it is difficult to describe the slot i put cable in back of computer... acer did not have a good manual peter:cry

I agree, welcome and try and explain your problem better, also with info on how your trying to.

You may need to install your Monitor drivers to get your system to "play" better with it for settings. Also changing the "Refresh Rate" to a higher setting can make the screen appear clearer.

Don't go by what the monitor says. What resolutions are possible with your fx 5200? That would be the determining factor.
