I have a virus but can't find it....Norton is no help

When my computer reboots in the startup (must be in registry) .tmp file loads and tries to access the internet. I have been notified by my DSL account that I have a virus. I have ran Norton and it finds nothing. When the file attempts to access the internet Nortons see it and blocks it. But in the Task Manager this file 1.tmp it using 60% + on my CPU. I have found the .tmp files in system32 folder and everytime I reboot it creates a new one (ex: 2.tmp, 3.tmp etc..). I have no idea what it is and can't find anything on the internet. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

 

Please follow standard cleanup procedures as given below:

- Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ ME FIRST BEFORE ASKING FOR SUPPORT: Basic Spyware, Trojan And Virus Removal

Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.

- Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.


After doing ALL of the above and you still have a problem, make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps below:
