I bought a HUGE bottle of Canadian whiskey,, and I am actually LIKING it. Is this an OK thing,, or do I need to enroll in the Jack Daniels Institute??

I don't think drinking plonk that isn't made here is considered treasonous, not yet anyway. Wouldn't say no to Glenfiddich or Johnnie Walker right?
Go for it big dude, get toasted :D

If it's with Coke then I think that makes it okay.
Could do with a shot of something myself about now or just a kahlua will do.

I wonder... is a Canadian hangover any different that a U.S. hangover?

    Let us know dp.

Aspirin costs 1.7 times as much in Canada. Bloody mary's are just as expensive. A canadian just has to make more money than we do,, and they will be ok. :D
Whats with the new avatar G.T.,, are you giving up the fight??

Totally and unconditionally. Been a long tired week, and I'm not up to feuding, even in fun. So just call me Switzerland for now. Come to think of it, the Swiss seem to have a disproportionate amount of the world's gold. Being a well-armed neutrality may be just the thing.

Never was all that attracted to fat ladies. And that particular lady isn't scheduled to sing until Armageddon is winding down. Armageddon tired of waiting around for her. ;)

If you can find it, try Jameson Gold Irish whiskey. Bloody expensive here in OZ if you can find it. Otherwise Jameson 12 year old Irish whiskey. Don't dare despoil it by adding ANYTHING to it. Not even water. I know how you Yanks like water. It's real smoooooooooth whiskey. Bazza

Drinking is very American. .as long as it's not a fruity sissy drink you should be okay.
    Irish Whiskey is always good

Midleton Very Rare: hard to find(costly) but well worth it, honey-lemony
Connemara: Pretty cheap, maybe hard to find, leathery

    LOL

Hell 30% is murder when the whether is 113:D

Every summer I curse the sun and humidity and swear I am going to move:D:D

then winter gets here and .... well hell I love to brag:D:D

  27. lostkiwi

LOL, our humidity today was about 18% and about 90, a good "cool" day.
I love the people who say about it here, "110? That's okay coz it is a dry heat". Read "blast furnace" instead of "steam oven". Yep feels good.
Love our winters too, snow and all. What altitude are you at, Endi? We are about 4000', northern foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains, Mojave Desert.

Has to be a bonus laurie, we can go outside at night and see the stars, very beautiful. No city lights to hide them. There are perks, but coming from an island myself it is still hard to be away from the ocean.

We must remember that whether Canadian/American/Irish:
All of this is just an extrapolation of Scottish 'Scotch'.
That is not to say that American/Canadian/(especially)Irish is not good!
-I'm just pointing out that It all comes from Scotland.
(ps-I like the Scottish "Bell's" as an inexpensive but well made Scotch).
    Just my 2cents worth.
    Yours,
