ok so i have two computers
my computers are all running off the zone alarm secure wired/wireless router z100G
my main computer has been acting funny the internet only work half the time
it says for some reason that the internet plug is not plugged in, when i know for sure all the wires in the plug are working and nothing is wrong with the cable( been tested on other computers) then an error comes up saying
"local area connection" doesn't have valid ip configuration when i diagnosed my internet connection
what do i do with this computer?

    2nd
my secopnd computer i use has internet connection but i cant get on the internet or revieve e-mail
when i diagnosed it, and error said that
"windows has detected a problem with the following layered service provider"

so if anyone could help me out with this, it would be very helpfull

on my main computer i was just messing around with it and all of a sudden my computer had internet connection. so it works now but will only work for about a day then the error will come back up
    please help!
i do small jobs on the computer and need them fixed
have a feeling its the router thats doing it

Try this see if it helps :

Releasing and Renewing an IP address on Windows

Open cmd by right clicking and select " run as administrator "

In cmd type "ipconfig /release" without the quotes and click OK. Note that there is a space between ipconfig and the /release.

Then type "ipconfig /renew". without the quotes and click OK. Note that there is a space between ipconfig and the /renew.

This will renew your IP Address !

If the release/renew does not work listed then have you rebooted your router lately? Latest firmware on the router? I agree as it may be a router issue but first looks of it.

trust me i have already tried to do the ipconfig thing and reset the ip address and all
and yes the router is up to date, latest firmware, been reset, everything.
    still dont work:(

Unless those 2 computers both have some kind of seperate issue I would still look at the router as the issue. Can you contact the manufactuer and see if the router is bad? To get it replaced you'll have to prove it to them that it's bad so no matter what you'll have to go through them.
