I just rebooted windows, like formatted all of the C drive and what not.
and so its like i have a brand new computer so anyways, everythgin is working fine except my sound. Its as if it can't read the sound card, and when i check the hardware list i have no idea which one it is. On my last windows, my sound played, but now everytime a sound is played the computer just makes a beep sound inside. I know my speakers are connected correctly and blah blah, and sound driver never had a cd to install with, is there anything i can do to fix this problem?

Download Everest Home Edition from the Downloads\System Info section of this forum, install and run it. This should tell you your motherboard manufacturer and sound card installed ( integrated or stand alone ), go to the website and download the necessary drivers. Hope this helps. :)
